Every facial uses advanced skincare technology and techniques to help you reach your skin goals. To gain a better understanding of the treatments and technologies used in all facial treatments, read more about the specialized facial modalities I use below.
Ultrasonic Exfoliation
The ultrasonic skin spatula utilizes low-frequency sound waves to safely exfoliate and penetrate products into the skin. This versatile tool may be used for cleansing, exfoliation, desincrustation (softens and emulsifies oil and comedones in the follicles), and iontophoresis (introduces water-soluble products into the skin through electrical current). This treatment is suitable for all skin types and is used in almost every facial at Advanced Aesthetics.
High Frequency
Also known as the Tesla high frequency, this technology was first developed by Nikola Tesla in the late 1800’s. A mild electrical current passes through an argon gas filled glass electrode, producing enriched oxygen molecules that have an antibacterial and thermal tissue warming effect. This reaction naturally contracts underlying blood vessels and tiny muscle groups, pushing away cellular waste while enriching cells with nutrients.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is one of the most popular skin treatments in both medical and spa environments to date. At Advanced Aesthetics, a diamond tipped wand is used to mechanically exfoliate the outer layers of dead skin while a gentle suction removes the dead skin cells. This treatment stimulates blood circulation which, in turn, revitalizes collagen production, to treat aging, sun damage, textural issues, and some types of acne scarring.
Peels
A wide array of fully customizable chemical peels are available at Advanced Aesthetics, ranging from no-downtime peels to progressive peel series. This method of exfoliation is ideal for those wanting to treat hyperpigmentation or uneven skin tone, textured or dull skin, fine lines and wrinkles, and acne scarring. Certain chemical peel treatments are only available to established Advanced Aesthetics clients. The esthetician needs to be very familiar with your skin and homecare to ensure a safe and successful outcome.
Microcurrent
Known as a non-surgical facelift, microcurrent utilizes a low level electrical current to improve facial muscle tone, lift sagging skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve blood circulation, aid in lymphatic drainage, and enhance product penetration. This treatment also stimulates the body’s production of amino acids and ATP (adenosine triphosphate), both of which accelerate cell repair and healthy cell production. Over a course of treatments, facial muscles can be re-educated, resulting in visible lifting and firming of the skin.
LED Light Therapy
First discovered by NASA, LED light therapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment using non-thermal LED light energy to stimulate your body’s natural cell processes to accelerate skin rejuvenation and repair. This energy stimulates collagen and elastin production, accelerates tissue repair, and boosts circulation. Red light is used to increase hydration levels and reduce redness and inflammation while blue light is a powerful antibacterial treatment for acne.
Rezenerate Nano-Infusion
Using cutting-edge nano-technology, Rezenerate delivers unparalleled results by painlessly creating hundreds of microscopic permeations on the outermost surface of the skin. This allows for greater absorption of nutrients introduced into the skin, providing immediate plumpness. Serums to be infused are chosen for each client’s specific skin type, condition, and desired outcome. This is the ideal treatment for someone wanting a truly corrective treatment with no downtime.
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) Alternative
Lira Clinical’s Green Power Rebuilder acts as a mechanical exfoliator and alternative to device-assisted collagen induction therapy treatments, such as microneedling. The herbal mixture creates natural pathways into the stratum corneum and increases cell proliferation as it works its way out of the skin. The metabolic rate of the cells is increased, resulting in skin lightening, tightening and increased collagen and elastin production.
